On behalf of the organizing committee and International Association of Sedimentologists (IAS), it is great pleasure to invite you to the 39th International Meeting of Sedimentology (IMS) to be held in Çeşme, İzmir, Türkiye in 2027.

The 39th IMS with theme "Sediment Routing between continents" aims to bring scientists and participants together from all over the world to discuss and share the most recent advances in sedimentology. A broad suite of symposia sub-themes is being developed covering modern to ancient sedimentary systems.

The three-day meeting includes oral and poster presentations in themed sessions, Multi-day field trips will be offered before and after the conference that will present world class sedimentary systems of Türkiye. Short courses and workshops are planned to take place before or after the meeting.

Professional plenary speakers will be invited for the meeting. Graduate and post-graduate students, as well as early career researchers will be encouraged to participate and contribute in meeting too.

Social programme and social trip are also planned to take place.
